Middle of the night blogging is my norm

I only ever seem to think of updating my blog after I have flipped through all of the proverbial channels a dozen times on my phone. Bible app. Instagram. Poker game. Facebook. Email. Delete spam. Bible app. Safari to read random blogs.

It's nearing the end of November, Moriah will be 7 months old on November 24th. This season of the year is the fastest, by far.

We just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. This time of year seems to magnify the pain that surrounded our wedding. I would love to have a big party for our 10th anniversary. Kinda like the wedding we didn't have and the experience we didn't have.

Moriah has started bits of solid foods. BLW is my jam. She seems to like vegetables, definitely an eater like Luke.

Luke has entered into a new stage. He has so much to say and he's so smart. He is also very silly and mischievous.

Arie is growing so fast. He's learning so much and he was over the moon yesterday with all of the snow we got. I wish I had a picture of the boys playing in the snow instead of the snow itself.

Tomorrow we are headed to an open house. If this works out, we could be well on our way to being debt free, completely!!

We bought a van. We are having a little bit of trouble with the title, but with 17" of snow yesterday, I'm not in a huge hurry to switch to the van from my Ram.

Liz moved back to Michigan and we are super excited about that!

Catching up

It seems like the only time I'm blogging these days is when I have sick kiddos. In the dark and quiet moments when I'm rocking or patting to keep kiddos asleep, and when I've refreshed Facebook for the 100th time and finally come to the conclusion that everyone else is asleep and absolutely nothing interesting is going to happen.

Moriah has a cold, but it hasn't been too awful.

Arie and Luke love school time almost as much as playing outside.

This is the only photo that I've gotten back from Krista so far.

Kiddos sick plus wisdom teeth

It's 1:15am- all 3 have a cold and Luke and Moriah are struggling to sleep with the drainage. I've already spent two separate 20 minute steam showers with Moriah tonight. The only way Moriah seems to be able to sleep is upright. Luke keeps waking up too. Which leaves me awake.

Jack had his wisdom teeth out Thursday morning and he's still completely out of commission, taking pain meds around the clock.

I don't have enough pillows to sleep upright.

We have a house that we are going to check out tomorrow.

3 children in 3 years

I never update this blog, and that's a shame. This blog has documented so many years of our life.

I'm sitting here, in bed...
Moriah laying across my lap, having nursed to sleep. Luke laying on my left side. Arie laying on my right.

I wrote that four years ago... And I never would have imagined how the blessings would continue to pour down on us.

Grateful doesn't begin to describe it.

38 weeks 3 days Pregnant w/baby #3

This week, Baby is the size of a: probably 6.5 to 7lbs
How far along? 38 weeks 3 days
Due date: 5/1/15
Total weight gain/loss: probably still in the +40 something range. I think I'm high 170s now.
Maternity clothes? Yea. All that is comfortable is maxi skirts, and even those are iffy.
Sleep: no complaints. I'm awake at 4:27am and have been for almost a half hour.
Best moment this past week: messing with my dad probably

Food cravings: nothing that I can think of
Movement: last night I had a kick so big and strong, I'm surprised my water didn't break!
Symptoms: surprisingly, aside from feeling physically limited in that I can't bend over, I feel incredible for being this pregnant. I have no really notable symptoms.
Labor Signs: random BH, but nothing notable.
Stretch Marks yep, I'm pretty sure my belly wasn't expecting to get this big again... However, I'm much smaller than I was full term with both boys.
Swelling? Not really. I took my rings off when the boys got sick a few weeks back and haven't put them back on.
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: being able to move fast.
Feeling toward Pregnancy: Still bewildered. Anxious about labor and delivery and recovery.
What I am looking forward to: my mom is coming over today and I can't decide if I want to clean or nap. And my next appointment is Tuesday, tomorrow morning.
Milestones: I need to do the math to see how long I was pregnant with Luke. I think I was just under 39 weeks when he was born.
News: I've got nothing. My last mw appt, she was head down and by Thursday night, she had flipped to head up. Much to Goldie & Dr. Gage's surprise. I had an ultrasound and she spent a few days transverse, and is now officially back to head down.

Transverse baby belly.

36 weeks pregnant with baby #3

This week, Baby is the size of a: I have no idea. Probably about 5-5.5 lbs
How far along? 36 weeks
Due date: 4.27.15
Total weight gain/loss: 40 something
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Sleep: it's just my kids that make it difficult plus the 5-6 trips to pee a night.
Best moment this past week: making it to the 36 week mark, officially green light to birth at home.
Food cravings: nothing that I can think of
Movement: alllllll the time
Symptoms: symptoms haven't been too bad. Really minor and really random sporadic sciatica, which from the last few months this is a drastic improvement. Baby has moved down into my pelvis and off that joint that was causing so much pain. I have heartburn a lot more this week. Lots and lots and lots of movement and kicks if I'm in a position that baby doesn't like or if a brother is sitting on her.
Labor Signs: nothing yet
Stretch Marks yep, I think I may have gotten one or two new ones
Swelling? Depends on the day
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: being able to move fast.
Feeling toward Pregnancy: Undecided.
What I am looking forward to: my next appointment. It was supposed to be tomorrow, but the kids are sick so we may push it off.
Milestones: nursing Arie right to his third birthday. 36 weeks so officially in the home stretch and can birth at home any time. I'm hoping to go at least three more weeks.
News:  nothing

34 Weeks Pregnant w/#3

This week, Baby is the size of a: pineapple or something like that.
How far along? 34 weeks 3 days
Due date: 4.27.15
Total weight gain/loss: i have no idea, but the last time I checked it was about 40lbs 😳👎
Maternity clothes? Oh yes, I'm back on to leggings and skirts because nothing else fits.
Sleep: struggling to fall asleep, but I can usually stay asleep once I'm asleep. The boys are sleeping so much better, so that really helps.
Best moment this past week: midwife appointment yesterday, urine looks good and blood pressure is great.
Food cravings: sugar. Oh so much sugar!
Movement: every day, but baby hasn't moved yet this morning since I've been up with Luke. I'm laying back down now, so maybe soon.
Symptoms: heartburn yesterday, I have had a lot of sciatic pain in the last few weeks, but in the last week or so it's mostly disappeared. I really feel great, I have a ton of energy.
Labor Signs: no. Starting to get BH at night.
Stretch Marks yep, leftover stripes
Swelling? Sometimes.
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: not a thing
Feeling toward Pregnancy: Still in shock and a little bit of denial.
What I am looking forward to: getting the last few items on the baby list and paying off a few more things before baby.
Milestones: Arie weaned (I think) on 3/5, his 3rd birthday. He hasn't asked for it. It's 3/18.
News:  home birth is still the plan. Goldie said that she is comfortable delivering for me at home 36 weeks plus. So, 1.5 more weeks and I have the green light for labor. I would like to go to 38 weeks. Goldie says be ready for 43 weeks. 😏

3 car seats across. Cleaned out my truck the day before yesterday and picked up the infant car seat from Ashley yesterday. I still need to install it, but it's hooked up to the latch one one side so it's not a projectile.
